I’ve mentioned here before that our yard is in DIRE need of a make over.  This is what the front yard looks like right now.

See what I mean?  While we are tackling the no grass thanks to the TX drought, we have also made a lot of plans to beautify the yard.  See that nice framed “I really want to be a flower bed” area.  THIS is where the new Miracle-Gro  Expand ‘n Gro™ Concentrated Planting Mix comes into play.  If you click that link back there you will learn what it is, how to use it, benefits and results.  In the how to use it explains how to use it in soil. It seems really easy to prep your area for it.  Here are some of the benefits

• Up to 3X the Flowers and Vegetables!* *versus native soil

• Significantly improves soil for multiple years

• Concentrated planting mix expands up to 3X when water is
• Feeds for up to 6 months
• All natural fibers hold up to 50% more water than basic potting

The difference between Miracle-Gro® Expand ‘n Gro™ Concentrated Planting Mix and regular potting and garden soils is their unique blend Miracle-Gro® plant food and coconut coir fiber. Creating a plant mix that expands up the 3x when mixed with water, feeds plants for 6 months, makes native soil more workable and retains 50% more moister than regular potting soil.

Whether in ground or in pots, the honey combed shaped, sponge like cell structure of the coir fibers help ensue that water is used efficiently.  The re-expansion of coir offers several benefits for plant growth, included moisture control and bulk density. And because coir contains a slow decomposing organic polymer called lignin, it continues to benefit native soil for years after it’s first been added.

Here is a video to show you how it works.

I’m really excited to give this a try.  I’ll have to show y’all the progression of our yard make over.  And that framed just waiting to be a flower bed area will hopefully start to look something like this.

Would you like a sample to try for yourself?  I have one Miracle-Gro® Expand ‘n Gro™ Concentrated Planting Mix sample to giveaway to one lucky AliLilly follower. To enter just leave me a comment below.  Advertisement
